Terms and Conditions
The terms on which ForgeSkills provides courses, Learner Portfolios and the Employer Platform.
These Terms and Conditions apply when you create a Learner Portfolio, purchase or complete a ForgeSkills course, or use the Employer Platform. By using ForgeSkills you agree to these terms.
ForgeSkills is an Australian online professional learning platform. ForgeSkills is not a Registered Training Organisation and its courses are not nationally recognised training.
Creating a Learner Portfolio
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your account details up to date. Your Learner Portfolio is personal to you and must not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out under your account.
Learner Portfolio accounts are available to adults and workplace learners. Accounts may be closed after a period of inactivity in accordance with the Course Access and Account Inactivity Policy.
Purchasing a course
Course fees are shown in Australian dollars and include GST. Payment is processed through a secure third-party payment provider at the time of purchase.
Access to a purchased course is provided through your Learner Portfolio immediately after payment. Refunds, transfers and cancellations are dealt with under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Completing a course
Courses include a formal assessment. You must complete the assessment successfully to receive a Certificate of Completion. Assessments must be completed by the enrolled learner personally.
Notional hours shown against a course are an indication of the time a typical learner will need. They are not a guarantee of how long any individual will take.
Employer purchases
Where an employer purchases or allocates courses through the Employer Platform, the purchasing organisation is responsible for the fees and for how courses are allocated. Learners complete allocated courses through their own Learner Portfolio.
Employers may access completion information relevant to the learning they have allocated. Employers do not receive unrestricted access to a learner's Learner Portfolio.
Course content and intellectual property
All course material, assessments, certificates and website content are owned by ForgeSkills or its licensors. Course material is provided for your personal professional learning. You may not copy, distribute, resell, publish or use ForgeSkills material to deliver training to others without written permission.
Availability and changes
ForgeSkills may update course content, assessments and platform features to keep learning current. ForgeSkills may withdraw or discontinue a course; where this affects a course you have purchased and not completed, the Refund and Cancellation Policy applies.
We aim to keep the platform available at all times but access may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share your account or allow another person to complete an assessment on your behalf
- copy, record or redistribute course or assessment material
- attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the platform
- use ForgeSkills to store or transmit unlawful or offensive material
ForgeSkills may suspend or close an account where these terms have been breached.
Professional recognition
ForgeSkills courses provide non-accredited professional learning. Recognition of course completion by an employer, professional association, regulator, licensing body or accreditation scheme is determined by that organisation. Learners should confirm applicable requirements before purchasing or completing a course.
Liability and Australian Consumer Law
ForgeSkills provides professional learning content. It does not provide legal, technical, safety or compliance advice for your particular circumstances, and you remain responsible for how you apply what you learn.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the course or refunding the course fee.
Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
ForgeSkills may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version is always published on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
